If you are looking for a great place to have some fun for either a week’s holiday or a long weekend then Weston Super Mare in Somerset is a place worth considering. There are not only miles of wonderful beaches to enjoy but it’s also an excellent place to stay whilst you explore other places in Somerset.
As you’d expect from a long established seaside resort, Weston Super Mare has a multitude of different places for you to stay. In this article we look at just a few of the places worth considering staying in when you visit this seaside town.
One possible choice is called Royal Pier Hotel. As its name suggests is located opposite the towns Grand Pier which unfortunately burnt down in 2008. But, work is commencing on it to reconstruct it and bring it back to its former glory. The hotel is a short ten minute walk from the town centre so you have everything you want for a fun packed and relaxing holiday.
Because of its position on the shoreline you have wonderful views out across the sea from all its rooms and all are well decorated and furnished. Plus they offer many wonderful services such as a shoe cleaning and portering service which many of the more modern hotels no longer provide to their guests.
Another place to think about is Ormonde House which is located in one of the town’s more elegant areas and will appeal to golfers as there is an 18 hole course directly opposite. If golf doesn’t take your fancy then you can always take a stroll along the promenade or on one of the towns’ sandy beaches.

If you really after a wonderful weekend break which you want to turn into something romantic for you and your partner then consider booking yourself into their Master Suite. The final hotel we are going to be looking at is the Weston Bay Hotel which has commanding views over the seafront. As well as being close to the Tropicana Pleasure Complex and Beach Lawns the views across Weston Super Mare bay must be seen to be believed. The hotel is also close to the centre of Weston Super Mare, so you’re never far from anything.
