When it comes to where to stay in Worcester you will find that you are spoilt for choice. You can find everything from luxury hotels at the top end of the price bracket right the way down to camp sites which will give you the basics of somewhere to stay. As well as these, you'll find much cheaper - and often more personal - accommodation in the shape of bed & breakfasts and guest houses. Plus if you do not want to feel restricted there is plenty of self catering accommodation available also.
Hotels in the city of Worcester vary greatly in price and below we look at just a few of those that may be well worth considering.
1. Ye Olde Talbot Hotel - This is located opposite Worcester Cathedral so is in a prime central location. The hotel itself was an old coaching inn and dates back to the 13th Century and a night's stay in one of its 28 rooms will cost from £45.00 per room per night.
2. Bank House Hotel and Country Club - if you're looking for a comfortable leisure break then this is well worth your consideration. Much will depend on the time of year but you should be able to stay for the night from around £36.00.
3. Fownes Hotel - another central hotel (like Ye Olde Talbot Hotel), although the building used to be a Victorian glove factory. However, this hotel has 61 rooms available and also like Ye Olde Talbot Hotel has a restaurant and bar also. The cost of a nights stay in this hotel in Worcester starts at around £40.00.
4. Travelodge - If your budget is somewhat limited then this may be the ideal accommodation for you. Room prices begin at around £27.50 per night for a room and it offers you good quality, comfortable facilities. Plus the best thing about this hotel is it is only situated 2 minutes walk from Worcester Cathedral, so all that the town has to offer is within easy reach.
5. Whitehouse Hotel - This is one of the few four star hotels situated in the city and is located on the High Street. From here, not only do you have easy access to the shops and restaurants but also again, you are only a short distance away from the Cathedral and the Royal Worcester factory. Although situated on the city's High Street, noise levels are kept to a minimum as this area of town has been completely pedestrianised.
Above we have shown just a few of the places where to stay in Worcester. However, a quick search of the internet and you will find plenty more that meet your budgetary requirements. Of course, because Worcester has so many things to see and do, you may well find yourself making a number of return trips to discover all that it has to offer.
